Thermal/bubble inkjets require water-based inks, standard paper and relatively inexpensive printer cartridges.
Drop-On-Demand Inkjet Printing: Piezo
Piezo inkjet printing is popular because of its flexibility. This process can use a number of different ink formulas. The inks themselves can be liquid or solid. Piezo printing also allows you to print on different kinds of material. The composition of piezo inks can be tailored for many materials by adding acrylics, binders and polymers.
