Booties Knitting
Knitting Booties & Confused?
I am knitting booties for the first time. I found a fairly easy pattern for myself, except after knitting it for a little I am now confused. The pattern says:
Row 12: P 15, sl 1, p1, psso, p2, p2 tog, p15
Row 13: K 14, sl 1, k 1, psso, k 2, k2 tog, k 14
Row 14: p 13, SL 1, P 1, psso, p 2, p 2 tog, p 13
and it goes lower from there, but after starting I realized after following the steps, at the end of the rows I still have yarn on the needle (so after I do row 14 there are still stitches left on the other needle. I do not know what to do with the rest of the stitches left on that needle.
Please help!
Each row has two decreases in it, so you shouldn’t have stitches left over.
sl 1, p1, psso is a left slanting decrease and k2tog is a right slanting decrease. You do them in pairs so the item looks symmetrical.
For row 12, you start out with 36 and by the end of the row you have 34 sts
For row 13, you start out with 34 and by the end of the row you have 32 sts
For row 14, you start out with 32 and by the end of the row you have 30 sts
