Clown Crochet

crochet clown doll with plastic head?

I am looking for a crochet pattern that will work out to be 25″-30″ for a clown doll or any doll that could be worked up to look like a clown
also any ideas on how to attach the plastic head to crochet body it does not have any holes in the head

My Grandmother Used to make those. She would make the round Flowers with the whole in the center than she would string them together throught the middle. This is the only pattern I can think of.
