Ended Crochet

My double crochet blanket edging is uneven and i cant figure out why?
I am new to crocheting so im sure its an easy fix however i cant seem to make my edging even. Im doing a double crochet pattern very simple. But im seeing so many different ways to do it on the web. So at the end of a row i add three loops and then go through the second stitch then at the other end i go through the extra loops i added on. Well thats what im doing any help would be great thanks
I’m not sure I entirely understand what you’re doing, but it sounds like you’re crocheting through the three chains (“extra loops”) you’re adding at the end (beginning of your next row). These are not supposed to be extra loops, but a single dc stitch. If this IS what you’re doing, you’re adding extra stitches on each row and that’s what’s causing your project to come out uneven. Do this instead:
At the end of each dc row, chain 2 (or 3, if that’s what you’ve been doing). Turn. This will count as your FIRST dc stich in the next row. Continue your row as usual.
