Irish Crochet
Need help with an Irish rose baby bootie crochet pattern?
Ok here is the pattern.
Rose (this is the irish rose part of the pattern)
Ch 6, join with sl st to form ring. (I got that part, not too hard)
Rnd 1 (rs): Ch 1, 12 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc: 12 sc. (what does this mean?)
Ok…so I just chained 6..slip stitched….then chained one. How do you do 12 sc in 6 chains? Does it mean sc around the ring twice? Then how do you join it with a sl st to the first sc? do you find the first sc in the middle of the ring? I guess I can’t visualize this very well. Can someone tell me what this pattern is telling me to do….in plain English? Thanks so much for your help!
you have a little circle made up of your 6ch – now you have to work the 12sc into the actual circle by putting your hook through the circle instead of into a chain stitch.After you have work 12sc into that circle you will notice that your last sc will now be very close to the first sc worked and you should be able to slip stitch to it. This will be your first round.
