Crochet For Beginners – Learn Simple Stitches
Crochet is a great pass time for many people and once you learn how you will be able to make just about anything you would like. I am here to teach crocheting for beginners so that once you understand the stitches and how to do them and to read patterns then you will be able to make anything you would like because you can read a pattern and you know how to make the stitches necessary to complete the pattern. Crocheting for beginners starts with a crochet hook, small scissors and yarn. You can choose any hook you like. When it comes to crocheting for beginners you will want a larger size until you get the hang of it and then move down to a smaller sized hook. The smaller the hook the tighter your stitches will be.
Now you put the crochet hook through the tiny opening and place your yarn around the crochet hook and bring through and you will have 2 loops on the crochet hook. Then put the yarn around the crochet hook again and bring through both loops. Make this all the way across. You keep doing this until it is the length you prefer it. With regard to crocheting for beginners, this stitch is known as the single crochet (sc).
For a half double crochet (h.dc) stitch with your yarn over, then push the crochet hook through the chain. Yarn over the crochet hook and bring it through to have 3 loops on the crochet hook. Yarn over once more and also bring the yarn through all three of your loops.
For a triple crochet (tc) you will do the same factor as a double crochet but while you have 3 loops on the crochet hook, you yarn over and bring through to get four loops on the crochet hook and then yarn over and bring through all the loops. This is a too tall stitch. Once you have learned almost all the crocheting for newbies stitches next you can basically make anything you would like to make. I usually have patterns just for crocheting for beginners such as doing pot holders, scarves or even a simple blanket. You can easily make a number of various covers just with the crocheting for beginners stitches that are listed here.

Once you have mastered all the crocheting for beginners stitches, try to move on to ones that are more advanced and try some more advanced patterns like sweaters with designs. The more stitches you know, the more patterns you will be able to do.
