Perfect Pinwheels
I need some good ideas for simple but tasteful finger food for a wedding reception?
My daughter is getting married on July 4 and I want it to be perfect for her. I am doing the recetption myself and I already have pinwheels, mini taco salads, and BBQ meatballs on the menu. Anymore recipes of this type would be appreciated. Thanks
Be very careful with any mayonnaise based dips, spreads or salads as you need to keep an eye on temperature. Make sure you set them out at the very last minute and have them well chilled while they are outside.
Non mayo based foods are good – salsas, guacamole, oil and vinegar pasta salads, etc. Giada De Laurentis has a fantastic white bean dip that I’ve made many times to rave reviews.

Think about foods that can be prepared ahead and rewarmed or kept warm, or those that won’t suffer if they’re not steaming hot – baked beans, chicken fingers, oven roasted potatoes.
